Your listing probably looks like every other one
When someone in Prescott searches for a plumber or someone in Yuma looks for a family restaurant, they see dozens of names. Most listings show the same bare information: a business name, maybe a phone number, maybe not even that.
The businesses that get the call are the ones that show up with something more. Not fancy. Just complete.
What goes in a basic listing
You can add your business free to the directory in about two minutes. That gets your name, category, phone number and city into the system. Someone searching your town and your trade will see you.
That's enough to exist. It's not enough to stand out.
To change what shows — add your hours, your address, a description of what you actually do, photos of your work or your space — you use the contact form and tell us what needs to change. We update it, usually the same day.
Hours matter more than you think. A mom looking for a breakfast spot on Sunday morning will skip right past you if she doesn't know you're open. A contractor calling for a quote at seven in the morning wants to know you answer that early.
Photos do most of the work
A photo of your crew, your workspace, a finished job, your dining room, your lobby — that does more than a paragraph of description. People decide in two seconds whether you look like the kind of place they want to call.
Upload clear photos. Not professional shots, just clear ones. A phone camera works fine if the lighting is decent and the space is tidy.
If you do painting, show a clean edge and a finished room. If you run a cafe, show a table with good food on it. If you sell furniture, show your showroom so people know it's worth the drive.
Categories and cities put you in the right search
When you list, pick the category that matches what people actually search for. If you fix cars, you're under auto repair. If you serve tacos, you're Mexican. If you remodel kitchens, that's your category.
The city matters just as much. Someone planning a day trip through Sedona or looking for a contractor in Gilbert is filtering by location. If your listing says the wrong town or no town, you don't show up.
You can be in more than one category if you actually do more than one thing. A shop that does auto repair and also sells tires can list under both. A restaurant that serves breakfast and also caters can say so. Just don't stretch it — if you've never done commercial plumbing, don't list as a commercial plumber.
Power Partner puts you higher and gives you more space
A free listing gets you in the directory. The Power Partner package gets you to the top of your category in your area, with more room to describe what you do, more photos, and a highlighted spot when people filter results.
It costs a small monthly amount and it works because the people searching are already looking for your kind of business in your town. You're not hoping someone notices you. You're right there when they're ready to call.
Businesses that use it show up first in category pages like plumbing and city pages like Mesa, and they show up in the guides we build for family fun, date night, and weekend trips.
The trip planner and guides bring people to your door
The plan a trip tool lets someone map out a day or a weekend by interest and location. If they're planning a Saturday in Flagstaff with the kids, the system shows them what's nearby and open. If your business fits and your listing is complete, you're on that list.
The guides work the same way. They're built around what people are actually looking for — things to do with children, places to take a date, towns worth a weekend visit. Businesses with strong listings show up there without paying extra for ads somewhere else.
Keep it current
The best listing in the world doesn't help if your hours changed three months ago and nobody updated them. If you close for a holiday, change your schedule for summer, move locations, add a service, or get a new phone number, update the listing.
Use the contact form. It takes one minute. We make the change and your listing stays accurate.
People trust what looks current. If your information is out of date, they assume you don't pay attention. If it's current and complete, they assume you run things the same way.
That's who gets the call.
